Prerequisites:

A minimum of 3 years of high school math including 2 year of algebra, 1/2 year of plane geometry, and 1/2 year of trigonometry is strongly recommended.

Structure of the Course:

The course consists of three parts: Lecture, Recitation, and Laboratory.

Exams:

Exams will be close-book but open-notes. They are likely to be held in MH1005. No make-up exams will be given without written proof of an emergency.

Grades:

Grades are based on five scores according to the following combination

Laboratory Score: 10%
Recitation Score: 20%
First Midterm Exam: 20%
Second Midterm Exam: 20%
Final Exam: 30%

Grades will be assigned by quiz instructors. The lecturer will only help to coordinate the grade scale.

Withdrawals:

The last day to withdraw from the course is Friday, March 6. No withdraw will be given after that date.
